1. About these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of this website and your purchase of, registration for, or participation in any programme, event, course, product or service offered by Stephen Akintayo Consulting (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By using this website, registering for anything, or making a payment, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or purchase our products.
2. Who we are
This website is operated by Stephen Akintayo Consulting. We provide mentorship programmes, coaching, business training, events, courses and related educational services founded by Dr. Stephen Akintayo.
Stephen Akintayo Consulting is separate from the Stephen Akintayo Foundation and from the DSA Books store. Each operates under its own terms.
3. Our products and services
We offer several types of products and services, including:
- Mentorship and coaching programmes — group and private mentorship, executive development.
- Events — conferences, masterclasses, workshops and seminars, in person or online.
- Online courses and digital products — recorded courses, templates, guides and other downloadable or streamed content.
- Corporate training and speaking engagements — delivered for organisations.
- Advisory and strategy sessions — one-to-one or team sessions.
The description, price, format, schedule and inclusions of each product are shown on its sales page or checkout page at the time of purchase, and form part of your agreement with us. Where a product has its own terms, those apply alongside these Terms. If they conflict, the product-specific terms apply.
4. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to make a purchase.
- You must give accurate, complete information when registering or paying, and keep it up to date.
- Where a product includes an account or login, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure. Access is for you personally and may not be shared, resold or transferred unless we agree in writing.
- We may decline or cancel any order or registration, for example if we suspect fraud or misuse. If we do so before delivering anything, we will refund any payment made.
5. Orders, pricing and payment
- Payment processing. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details. Your payment is also subject to Stripe's terms and privacy policy.
- Prices and currency. Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout. Your bank may apply currency-conversion or international transaction fees, which we do not control.
- Taxes. Prices include or exclude applicable taxes as stated at checkout.
- Confirmation. Your purchase is confirmed when payment succeeds and you receive a confirmation email or receipt.
- Instalments and recurring payments. Where a programme is offered in instalments, or as a subscription or membership, you authorise us to charge your payment method for each instalment or renewal on the schedule shown at checkout. If a payment fails, we may pause your access until it is resolved. Subscriptions can be cancelled before the next renewal date, and cancelling stops future charges. Instalment plans are a commitment to pay the full programme price, and the remaining instalments stay payable unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- Billing questions and disputes. If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, please contact us through our contact form within 14 days so we can resolve it quickly. We ask that you contact us before raising a dispute or chargeback with your bank.
6. Refunds and cancellations
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for change of mind, non-attendance, partial use, or failure to complete a programme or course. Limited exceptions apply: billing errors, cancellations by us, and where the law requires a refund. Alternatives such as transfers and rescheduling are also available. Full details are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
7. Product-specific terms
Mentorship and coaching programmes
- Each programme runs on the schedule, format and duration stated on its sales page. Sessions missed by a participant are not refunded or credited, but recordings may be provided where available.
- We may change session dates, times, facilitators or delivery format (for example, in person to online) where reasonably necessary. We will give reasonable notice.
- Group sessions and community spaces are confidential. Do not share other participants' information or record sessions without permission.
- We may remove a participant whose conduct is disruptive, abusive or in breach of these Terms. A refund is not due in that case.
Events, conferences and masterclasses
- A ticket or registration admits the named person to the specified event only.
- Tickets may be transferred to another person if you notify us before the event. They may not be resold.
- If we cancel an event, we will offer a place at a rescheduled date, credit toward another event, or a refund (see the Refund & Cancellation Policy). We are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs you incur.
- Event agendas, speakers and venues may change. Speaker substitutions or schedule changes do not entitle you to a refund.
- Events may be photographed or recorded for promotional and educational use. If you prefer not to appear, please tell the event team on arrival.
- You must follow venue rules and the reasonable instructions of our team. We may refuse entry or remove attendees for safety or conduct reasons.
Online courses and digital products
- On purchase, you receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access the content for your own learning, for the access period stated on the sales page (or for as long as we offer the product, if no period is stated).
- You may not copy, share, resell, publish or distribute course materials, recordings or downloads, or share your login.
- Because digital content is delivered immediately, you agree that access begins as soon as payment is confirmed. To the extent permitted by law, this ends any right to cancel once access is provided.
- Some courses are delivered through our learning platform (Stephen Akintayo University), which may have its own terms of access.
Corporate training and speaking engagements
Corporate training, speaking engagements and other organisational services are governed by a separate written proposal, invoice or agreement. That document sets out fees, deliverables, payment terms and cancellation terms. Submitting an enquiry through this website does not confirm a booking.
Advisory and strategy sessions
Sessions are booked for the time agreed. If you cannot attend, you may reschedule once by giving at least 48 hours' notice. Missed sessions without notice are forfeited.
Books
Books by Dr. Stephen Akintayo are sold through the official DSA Books store at store.stephenakintayofoundation.org. Purchases there are governed by that store's own terms, shipping and refund policies.
8. Educational content and no guarantee of results
Our programmes, events, courses and content are educational. We share practical knowledge and experience, but we do not guarantee any particular business, financial, career or investment result. Outcomes depend on your own decisions, effort, circumstances and market conditions. Any examples or success stories are not typical results or promises.
Nothing we provide is financial, investment, tax, legal or other professional advice tailored to your circumstances. All investments carry risk, including the loss of capital. Please consult appropriately licensed professionals before making financial or investment decisions.
9. Acceptable use and conduct
You agree not to:
- use the website or our products for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, accounts or systems, or interfere with their operation;
- submit false information, automated or spam submissions;
- harass, abuse or disrupt other participants, speakers or staff.
10. Intellectual property
All content on this website and in our products is owned by Stephen Akintayo Consulting, Dr. Stephen Akintayo or our licensors, and is protected by intellectual property laws. This includes text, videos, recordings, course materials, slides, frameworks, logos and designs. You may use it only as permitted by these Terms. Our names and logos may not be used without written permission.
11. Third-party services and links
We rely on third parties, such as payment processors, video and learning platforms and event venues, and we link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Your use of them may be subject to their own terms.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stephen Akintayo Consulting is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business or data, arising from your use of the website or our products. Our total liability for any claim relating to a product is limited to the amount you paid for that product. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force when you make a purchase applies to that purchase. Continued use of the website after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We will always try to resolve a concern informally first. If that is not possible, disputes will be subject to the courts of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
